Canada Goose Inc., a Canada-based winter clothing manufacturer inaugurated its first physical store in Hong Kong’s International Finance Centre on Tuesday. In addition to classic down jacket, the luxury shop has put on sale it 2018 fall new products and ‘Fusion Fit’ collection tailored for Asian customers. Prints and sculptures of Inuit artists and artisans were also put on displayed in the Hong Kong flagship store to provide customers better shopping experience coupled with a taste of northern living and working environment.
At the opening ceremony, Scott Cameron, CEO of Canada Goose in China, said that Hong Kong is the fashion capital of China, hence Canada Goose decided to open its first store there. The strategic location of Hong Kong connects it with China as well as to the world.
In view of the emergence of enormous counterfeit products in circulation, resulting from its growing popularity among Chinese consumers; Canada Goose, in May 2018, announced its partnership with the Alibaba Group, to sale its goods on Tmall. The company has also set up an office in Shanghai, with an aim of attracting Chinese consumers before counterfeits become more rampant.
